I am a TV addict and a fan of good series, but never had I watched something so compelling… never had I been awed like that… never had my heart been so full of hundreds of feelings as I watched something.
“Remember” is still the key word in my heart and mind… WWII was… well you all know what it was, yet still today the world hosts survivors and executioners… still today, some people are making money out of the atrocity perpetrated in concentration camps. I hate this idea and I hate that I feel hate. But I am no God and so my power of forgiveness stops where forgiveness is unbearable and unthinkable to grant.
The year is 2009 and my greatest wish is that never, in mankind history, the atrocities of WWII will ever be forgotten.
I have seen episode 22 of season 5 of series CSI: NY. Gary Sinise was the producer of the episode and the heartfelt story made me want to applaud. If there is one episode to see from that particular series, that would be it. Remember that still today, war criminals from the Holocaust can be brought to justice. Still today, survivors and descendants of victims fight to bring closure and peace of mind to those who suffered at the hands of their executioners. “Remember” no matter your religion, beliefs, social belonging… “Remember” and make sure the next generation does.

Gilmore Girls | Amy Sherman

I do not think one can find more “girly” TV Show than Gilmore Girls… or maybe one can, I am not really sure. First aired in October 2000, the show has known a fantastic success worldwide for seven years (and obviously, seven seasons). However, if you happen not to have seen it, let me rewind:Lorelei Gilmore (Lauren Graham) is Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) mother and Emily’s (Kelly Bishop) daughter. Confused already? Well good! That is indeed part of the fun.

Anyway, Gilmore Girls is about mother-daughter relationship at first, then about family relationships and then relationships: any relationships. Friendships are strong with Gilmore girls, love is of course essential, no matter how existent it is in the life of main characters Lorelei and Rory. These two are mother and daughter and best-friends. A dreamed relationship for many I would tend to say. Lorelei is talking, a lot and even more… It may seems that she does not have much to say, yet she does and does so in her own way (a piece of advice: if English is not your mother tongue, and no matter how good at English you are, you may put on the subtitles… hopefully you are watching with the original language). One could think that Lorelei’s relationship with Emily would be better off if non-existent… However, no matter how different they both are, they love each other very much. Emily is a “pain”, that granted, her character is essential to the show, the same way Richard Gilmore’s (Edward Hermann) is. Who is he? Emily’s husband and a very well-renown insurance man, very proud of his education, his success and his standard of living. Therefore, he and Emily barge in Lorelei and Rory’s life to ensure the Gilmore’s name is well looked after. That said, Gilmore girls have many friends. Sookie Saint-James (Melissa McCarthy) is brilliant and always makes one hungry when she’s cooking. Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) is probably one of the rare sane character of the show… Michel Gérard (Yanik Truesdale) the French concierge, is hilarious and charming in his own way. The Kim family is very bizarre. Mrs Kim (Emily Kuroda) is spooky! I do not even know how to describe her, but she’s great character… and funny because she never smiles. Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) is the secret musician and Rory’s best friend. She is a cool kid. Paris (Liza Weil) is a piece of art. She talks no matter how well one listens to her… she talks and talks and talks (and you’ll bless the subtitles there too). In fact any second character in the show will give you something to talk or laugh about.
In conclusion, I would say that Gilmore Girls is a quality show about life. You’ll laugh and cry with the characters, because they are served incredibly well by the actors who are playing each one of them. I like it very much, no matter how girly one says it is, it is good and worth watching over and over again.
